Lawyer with a career of more than 35 years. She obtained a Law degree from the University of Costa Rica and a specialty in Labor and Employment Law from the University Degli Studi di Pisa, Italy. At the beginning of her career, she held various positions in the administration of labor and employment justice in the Judicial Power, she was also an advisor to the International Labor Organization (O.I.T), opportunities that gave her national and international experience.

 

From May 1998 to the present, she practices her profession at Carro and associates Law Firm, in the area of ​​labor and employment counseling and litigation for the business sector. She has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Patronato Nacional de la Infancia; subsequently Deputy Magistrate in the Supreme Court’s Second Chamber and is currently a member of the Costa Rican Labor Law Association. She has given numerous trainings to the business sector in different current and relevant topics of labor and employment law.  She actively participates with her experience in different business Chambers such as the Construction Chamber, the Chamber of Tourism Guanacasteca (CARTURGUA) and the Chamber of Free Zones (Azofras).

 

She has multiple publications on different topics of Labor and Employment Law and is always up-to-date participating with International Congresses and Seminars. She has worked as a professor of Labor and Employment Relations at the Instituto Centroamericano Superior; Universidad de Costa Rica and Universidad La Salle and currently collaborates in a postgraduate course in Labor and Employment law with Lead University.
